Shine Albayzin - Granada

The hotel is very well situated for visiting Grenada. It is in a very old building full of charm but the rooms are modern and comfortable. They are situated around an open courtyard, it's very picturesque.

There was a strange odour in the lift, I don't know where it came from but it was persistent.

The location is really the best - nice view of the Alhambra and very close to all monuments and shops. The design is also very special and nice!

It seems that the "Do-not-disturb"- sign seems not to have any effect.

Stayed in a deluxe room and it was worth paying a few euro more for the larger room with window. Comfortable and clean - would happily stay there again. Location is perfect- just a short walk to plaza nueva. Also, fwiw, did the segway tour leaving from the plaza, and it was a great highlight of our trip

Toilet behind a wall but no door - you need to coordinate with your travel companion or else it will be embarrassing! But apart from this design issue, the room was great. Very comfortable.

This was a great hotel in a great location. Rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Location was right in the heart of it all.

We had a rental car and it was very hard to find this hotel if you don't know the town. Call ahead for directions.

a wonderful historic building sympathetically restored to provide excellent luxury accommodation. The hotel staff were excellent.

The lack of facilities (no bar, no breakfast,..) and the poor design of the bathroom

The Hotel is in an excellent location for exploring Granada. It is close to the Alhambra and in the Albayzin area which is a must see. The hotel is also a 5-7 minute walk from the centre of town with lots of restaurants , shops etc. The staff at the hotel were especially helpful. They arranged a great table at Restaurant Estrellas de San Nicolas for our first night overlooking the Alhambra at sunset.

The only small concern is that wifi was not accessable in the room because of the thick walls.

We had a superior double. The room was large and beautifully designed with windows opening onto the river and looking up to the Alhambra. It was delightful. Would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

If you are driving, it might be difficult to get here.

Suite booked had amazing view of Alhambra Palace and largest opening windows that you could imagine.2 Gorgeous bathrooms and private lift(most unexpected) made us feel like royalty! We have never had a room with 2 flights of stairs inside it! We could not stop smiling whole visit.

Breakfast offering very poor in enclosed room. (Suggest eat out at bar nextdoor.) No kettle to make tea/coffee in room. Nb Contrary to Booked.net details online, only 1 suite has a balcony.After a little moan we loved the giant windows and armchairs better.

The Hotel is very well situated for visits to the Alhambra Palace and other tourist attractions. We drove from Malaga which was an easy hour and a half but the difficult part was trying to find a car park close by. The link to the road directions from google are not good, you would be better to down load a map from web sites yourself. The hotel is lovely though, very modern with plenty of the old history still remaining.

Great location, beautiful building, nice rooms and friendly staff. Very much recommended, especially considering the price.

The location

Design hotel is a an exaggerated appreciation. They still have to work on some details: cold environment, somewhat unfriendly; brightness in rooms is too small; lack of a simple shower shelf...

I liked that it was quite close to the Plaza Nueva, very centrally located.

This hotel is more form than function. They did a beautiful job of remodeling, but it's all for show. There was a note in the bathroom that said (paraphrasing here) "because this is an old hotel the hot water works for 20 minutes, and then won't come back for another 30 minutes". In reality, the hot water in the shower only worked for about 10 minutes. My view was mostly of the side of another building, some 30 feet away. The bed was two twins pushed together, and the breakfast is meager for the price they require. I believe there could be a much better hotel found for less money.

This hotel was wonderfully appointed, cool and very comfortable. The staff were exceptionaly friendly and helpful. The rooms have been fitted out very thoughtfully, and the breakfast was excellent. It is very good value for money. The location in the old part of the city is perfect for walking around, and the views of the Alhambra were breathtaking.
